SK and CLG trade maps (16-3 Nuke for SK and 16-14 Overpass for CLG) during the teams' opening matches in Group C of ELEAGUE.
The second set of matches at Group C of ELEAGUE were another North America-Denmark face-off (with a touch of the Swede for both sides), albeit this time between CLG, who are making use of coach Faruk "pita" Pita as a stand-in due to their lack of a fifth, and SK.
With CLG currently ranked #20 and SK ranked #19 in our rankings, the first map in their Round Robin match-up was Nuke, a map which is widely considered to be still undergoing adjustments in the meta since it was completely overhauled by Valve.
Although some Nuke games have been close since the map was added back into the Active Duty map-pool, this one was anything but as Emil "Magisk" Reif and his team completely plowed through CLG on their T-side and finished at 12-3 by the half's end.

With CLG looking completely lost on the map, and coach/stand-in pita struggling in particular, it was SK who claimed the first map with a score of 16-3 after winning fourmore rounds on the second half.

The second map in the set was Overpass, a map on which these two teams (when Jacob "FugLy" Medina was still playing for CLG) had faced off at the MLG Columbus Main Qualifier back in February, with CLG winning 16-13.
Stephen "reltuC" Cutler picked up a triple kill on the American team's CT-side to give CLG a much more positive start to Overpass, and then it was his teammate James "hazed" Cobb who suddenly kicked into action and began having an impact in nearly every round for his team.
With CLG standing at 7-0 after a superior defensive game, some misplays by the team and a few entries by SK gave the Danish-Swedish team three rounds in a row, however CLG were soon back on the warpath mainly thanks to hazed (who had a 163.3 ADR by the end of the first half) and reltuC and finished the half with a commanding 12-3 score.
hazed put up fearsome numbers on Overpass for CLG on their CT side
It was then a SK player's turn to get a USP triple kill on that respective team's pistolround and this Andreas "MODDII" Fridh did to put SK back into the game as the team clinched back enough rounds to bring the score to 12-7. Tarik "tarik" Celik picked up two entry kills for his team on the twentieth round to then give CLG their first round of the second half but SK then toppled their economy again and claimed two more rounds.
At 14-13 for CLG, the North American team called a timeout but MODDII picked up a triple kill the next round to equalise the score. Somehow, CLG dug deep in their hidden reservoirs and managed to win two close rounds in a row in which late round trade kills dominated and thus CLG won the map 16-14.
